Here is a way to make some spare cash and help travelers save money on pricey hotel accommodation at the same time. AirBnB is a global network of accommodation offered by locals in cities all over the world. You can rent out your spare room, an entire apartment, caravan, boat or whatever accommodation you have that a person traveling could use. You set how much you want to charge per night, what the rules are, how many people can stay at the same time etc. This is a great way to make some extra money when you need it without the commitment of having someone renting at your place full time. All you have to do to get started is sign up at AirBnB (which is free) upload some photos and list your room.

When scouring the web for different ways to make money online, you may have heard of programs that pay you to participate in mock trials. This is one of the strangest ways to make money on the internet. The concept is simple. You will spend about an hour listening to a trial, and afterwards, you will give your feedback on what you thought of the trial. After that you can get paid. Mock trials can be a good way to slightly increase the size of your pocketbook, but not get to get rich.
Why Do Mock Trials Exist?

Here is something for you if you like to spend time on FaceBook. It is an application called ClowdCrowd. It allows you to choose from a few available jobs which include things like editing text or categorizing products (much like Amazon’s Mturk). You won’t get rich doing this as most jobs pay just a dollar or two but if much of your day is spent checking Facebook messages anyway, then this is something worth looking into. Take a look at CloudCrowd.

Seemile is a new education marketplace where you can upload voice or video files of your lectures. You can set your own price and upon anyone purchasing it you will get paid, minus some commission which is kept by the site.
The site is still very new and obviously this is not an opportunity that will appeal to everyone but if you are able to teach a topic it could be worth giving the site a try.

If you have ever wanted to design your own fabrics but were not sure how to go about it, take a look at SpoonFlower.com. It is a new web site that allows anyone to print any design onto fabric and have it shipped for a reasonable price, even internationally. As Twitter gets more and more popular there are many new services popping up for the Twitter community. One of the latest is Twee Bay – a free service you can use to buy and sell items using Twitter. There is the option of listing as an auction or as a classified and payment is handled by Google Checkout. Although the service is new it looks like something with a lot of potential.

I have written about social lending or financing in an earlier post and this is just a quick note to mention a new social financing site ZimpleMoney which has just launched. ZimpleMoney can be used to manage loans amongst friends and family or even as a platform that third parties such as non profits can build lending services on top of.
